Cold Weather Shelter
A new opportunity for outreach is the Cold Weather Shelter, homeless shelter sponsored by and housed in the First Presbyterian Church of Mount Airy. During the coldest winter months, this shelter works in collaboration with Northern Regional Hospital and the Mount Airy Police Department to provide meals plus a warm place to spend the night for homeless men in our area. Trinity parishioners volunteer for a variety of services, by staying onsite and providing fellowship for the men and by preparing and service light meals to the occupants.
